Data description (abstract)

This dataset contains the observations gathered by the TInnGO Italian hub to the TInnGO WP 7 mobility survey. Therefore it matches the corresponding datasets that have been gathered by the other 9 TInnGO national hubs that administered the same survey. A description of the survey along with descriptive statistics for all hubs is reported in the TInnGO Deliverable 7.2 "Modelling and forecasting of gender mobility behaviour and for pilot cities", that will be available from spring 2022 through the following link: https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/824349/results

The survey was administered to the panel that is maintained by SWG, a leading Italian poll company. The sample is statistically representative of the population aged 18 and above in the Turin metropolitan area by gender and age. The data set was collected during the COVID-19 pandemic; however, respondents were asked to fulfil the survey and share their mobility patterns before the pandemic.

Data were collected through the SWG platform. They were later post-processed to ensure their compatibility with those from the other hubs and to remove sensible information (namely, exact origin and destinations of all trips were omitted and only ZIP codes and municipalities were included).
